Job description
With major investments in hydrogen, including flagship programmes like Project Union and East Coast Hydrogen, we're at the forefront of transforming the UK's energy system., We're now looking for a Data Analyst to play a key role in turning complex data into actionable insight across our Supply Chain and Commercial teams, helping drive smarter decisions on some of the most important energy projects in the country.
Your work will directly influence procurement strategy, investment planning, cost performance and regulatory reporting, ensuring we deliver complex infrastructure programmes efficiently, transparently and with maximum value.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and enhance dashboards, reports and analytical models to support decision making.
- Collect, clean and validate data from multiple systems including finance, procurement and project controls tools.
- Provide insight into supplier performance, spend, contract compliance and market trends.
- Support forecasting, cost tracking and financial performance in partnership with Quantity Surveyors and Investment Accountants.
- Monitor and analyse KPIs across supply chain performance, cost benchmarks and procurement efficiency.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting (e.g. RIIO submissions) with accurate, high-quality data.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, improving data governance and structures.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, You're a naturally curious and detail-driven analyst who enjoys turning complex data into simple, meaningful insight. You're comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and can communicate your findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences., * Proven experience in a data analyst, business intelligence or performance reporting role (ideally within infrastructure, utilities or a regulated environment).
- Strong skills in data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel or Tableau.
- Proficiency in data querying and modelling (e.g. SQL, DAX).
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Familiarity with commercial, procurement, financial and project data sets.
- Strong analytical thinking, numeracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to present complex insights in a clear, user-friendly way.
- Understanding of regulatory and capital investment reporting.
Desirable:
- Experience using Common Data Environments (e.g. SharePoint, ACC).
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear data solutions and dashboards.
- Experience presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
- Cross-functional experience with Engineering, Commercial or Project Controls teams.
