Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the technology integration efforts during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and processes between merging organizations, while minimizing disruption to business operations., + Lead IT Integration Projects: Manage end-to-end IT integration lifecycle for M&A transactions, from due diligence through post-close integration.

Due Diligence Support: Collaborate with corporate development and IT leadership to assess technology landscapes, risks, and opportunities of target companies.

Integration Planning: Develop detailed IT integration plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with business goals and deal strategy.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business units, vendors, and acquired entities to ensure alignment and communication.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data migration, system compatibility, cybersecurity, and compliance.

Change Management: Drive user adoption and change management strategies to support smooth transitions.

Reporting & Governance: Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project status, milestones, risks, and KPIs.

Vendor Coordination: Manage third-party vendors and consultants involved in integration activities.
Requirements
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (MBA or PMP certification preferred).

5+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 2 years focused on M&A integrations.

Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional IT projects in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS), cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.

Familiarity with data migration, system consolidation, and IT compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
Skills:

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across global teams.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with private equity-backed M&A transactions.

Familiarity with ITIL or Agile methodologies.

Experience in post-merger integration (PMI) playbook development.
