Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our dynamic technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support across hardware, software, and network systems to ensure seamless operational functionality. The ideal applicant will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of various operating systems and network configurations., * Deliver prompt and professional technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues via help desk channels.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals ensuring optimal performance.
  • Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), and firewall settings.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Microsoft Windows Server environments, and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for user management and system deployment.
  • Monitor and support IT infrastructure components such as switches, routers (including Meraki devices), and servers to ensure network security and stability.
  • Utilize tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and Help Desk software to track incidents, manage requests, and document solutions.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including software updates, hardware upgrades, and system backups to prevent downtime.
  • Assist with network administration tasks such as TCP/IP configuration, DNS management, and firewall rule adjustments.
  • Support the deployment of new hardware or software solutions while ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system performance issues and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Proven experience in providing technical support for desktop computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11/Server), macOS, and Linux distributions.
  • Expertise in computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN configuration, VPN setup, DNS management, and firewall security.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools like SCCM for software deployment; GPO for policy management; Active Directory for user account administration.
  • Experience managing computer hardware components and troubleshooting hardware-related issues.
  • Proficiency with network administration tools such as Meraki dashboard or similar platforms.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems quickly and develop effective solutions efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of help desk ticketing systems including ServiceNow or Jira is preferred.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles related to firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols.
