Network Administrator

The work consists of phone rollout, antenna installations, putting on phones, Nortel to CISCO phone upgrade. There are 350 phones/devices. It will be within hospital environments; there are 52 medical centers in total within a 30-mile radius. Installation would be performed at multiple locations., Network engineer responsibilities include the necessary network skills to maintain network performance, implement and oversee the computer networks that support the hospital's local voice, data, video and wireless network services.

This role maintains network configurations/connections, troubleshoot network problems, support IP address auditing, define documentation and enforces standards.

This position is also responsible for the maintenance and support of the security of the network infrastructure

Primary Position Responsibilities -

Perform analysis and maintenance of the HHS network infrastructure. (WAN, LAN, VOIP, Wi-Fi)

• Assist in the implementation of IT security technology

• Support the HHS Enterprise Firewall, content filer and VPN infrastructure

• Maintain accurate Network documentation

• Collaboration with all IS department teams

• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting of the Cisco Unified Communication & Collaboration Enterprise

• Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation)

Required: 3 Preferred: 3-5 or more

Preferred: Network+, CCNA Knowledge

Skills and/or Abilities Required:

Strong computer troubleshooting skills

Preferred: Familiarity with OSI model (Open Systems Interconnection), specifically how it relates to client / server troubleshooting.
