Job description

  • You contribute to basic and applied research projects in the fields of machine learning, computer vision and explainable AI
  • You develop and evaluate machine learning approaches for physiological or human-centered data, such as gait analysis, eye-tracking and EEG data
  • You develop software in Python using common machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow and PyTorch)
  • You support the development of research prototypes and frontend applications for demonstrators
  • You contribute to publications and the dissemination of re search results
  • To a limited extent, you are involved in teaching (max. 6 semester periods a week) as well as in supervising scientific theses and teaching projects

Requirements

  • Completed Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Media Technology, Software Engineering or a related technical field that qualifies you for admission to a PhD/doctoral programme
  • Initial research experience as an intern, teaching assistant or research assistant is desirable
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow/PyTorch
  • Advanced knowledge in the areas of explainable and interactive machine learning is an advantage
  • Knowledge of web technologies, e.g., frontend develop ment * Experience with physiological or human-centered data, such as gait analysis, eye-tracking or EEG data, is an advantage
  • Strong interest in applied research and emerging technologies
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Analytical thinking and a structured working style, Master Degree or equivalent
