Job description

  • Act as a consultant and trusted advisor for business users, partners, and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain a scalable, integrated, and modular enterprise architecture to strengthen and enhance the global operating model
  • Develop and implement a standardized framework for visualizing and maintaining the company architecture, including the current ("As Is") and target ("To Be") architecture as well as transitional development stages
  • Ensure that newly designed solutions align with the target architecture and follow holistic end-to-end design principles
  • Support transformation projects by establishing optimized data models within source systems and documenting the corresponding data structures
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve data governance, including data foundations, data models, data integration, and data quality
  • Mentor business stakeholders on data ownership and help drive a data-driven culture across the organization

Your Background

In this role, you will work closely with IT Solution Architects and Integration Architects across various core systems to further enhance and optimize the enterprise architecture landscape. You will also collaborate with international transformation project teams to support solution design and implementation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience working as a Data Architect within transformation projects across different business domains such as Sales, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, or Finance
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and enterprise-wide data flows
  • Experience with product and part data management as well as understanding of product development lifecycles and downstream process integration (e.g. Sales, Supply Chain, Service Assurance)
  • Solid experience in modelling business processes and data streams related to product and part management
  • Knowledge of frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, Lean Six Sigma, BPMN 2.0, or similar
  • Technical expertise in data models and enterprise source systems such as ERP, MRP, MES, and PLM
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, database design and development, data mining, segmentation techniques, and programming/scripting technologies such as Python, XML, or ETL frameworks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken; German or Japanese is considered a plus
  • Self-driven personality with strong analytical skills and the ability to balance technical depth with stakeholder management
