Data Careers is supporting a secure public sector organisation in the East Midlands in the search for an experienced Data Architect.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering enterprise-wide data architecture, helping the organisation maximise the value of its data assets while supporting intelligence, operational decision-making and strategic outcomes.
You'll play a key role in defining the future direction of a modern cloud-based data environment, working across technical and business teams to establish scalable, secure and sustainable data capabilities.
Security & Eligibility
Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must:
- Be UK-based.
- Have continuously resided in the UK for a minimum of five years.
- Be eligible to obtain NPPV3 and SC clearance.
- Existing police vetting, NPPV3 and/or SC clearance would be highly advantageous.
The Opportunity
You'll lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, helping shape both current and future-state data capabilities.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, engineers, analysts and operational teams, you will establish the data structures, governance frameworks and cloud architectures required to support a data-driven organisation.
Hybrid working is available, with attendance in Lincolnshire typically expected around one day per week, although flexibility is available depending on business needs., * Define and deliver enterprise data architecture strategy.
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based data architectures.
- Lead data modelling, integration and governance initiatives.
- Establish architecture standards and best practice.
- Support Microsoft Fabric adoption and development.
- Design data flows, storage models and integration frameworks.
- Promote data quality, governance and security standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support major transformation, migration and modernisation programmes.
