Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Scrum Master in Fort Washington, PA., The Senior Scrum Master enables multiple agile teams to deliver business value through consistent application of agile principles. This role promotes team health, drives continuous improvement, removes impediments, and supports data-driven decision-making while advancing overall agile maturity across the organization., Team & Delivery Enablement:

  • Coach teams on agile best practices to maximize value delivery and continuous improvement
  • Promote self-organization, accountability, and data-driven decision-making
  • Track, analyze, and share team metrics to guide performance improvements
  • Remove impediments or enable teams to resolve them independently
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent environment focused on problem-solving

Partnership & Communication:

  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, and agile practices
  • Partner with leadership to align delivery with organizational goals
  • Improve transparency across teams and stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines

Coaching & Leadership:

  • Provide coaching at team and individual levels to strengthen agile maturity
  • Conduct team assessments and guide continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to evolve best practices
  • Support broader agile transformation and scaling initiatives

Standards & Quality:

  • Ensure adherence to agile standards, including definition of ready/done
  • Reinforce Scrum values and a culture of accountability and quality

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Scrum Master experience in agile software environments
  • Strong knowledge of agile principles, servant leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution
  • Experience using metrics to improve team performance
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, ADO/TFS, Excel, and standard productivity tools
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to identify and mitigate delivery risks
  • Leadership experience and familiarity with scaling frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Scrum Master experience
  • Experience with Kanban, XP, or other agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., EasyBI)
  • Experience supporting agile transformations
  • Hands-on experience with SAFe or similar frameworks

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
