Job description

The IT Operations Architect is responsible for designing and governing the automation frameworks that power the organization's cloud and infrastructure operations. This role standardizes existing Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell assets into reusable Azure Pipelines templates, ensuring every environment-new or existing-is provisioned, tagged, secured, and cost-tracked consistently from day one. The architect embeds AI-assisted engineering into daily workflows to accelerate delivery, troubleshooting, and integration across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and third-party platforms., * Standardize Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell automation into modular Azure Pipelines YAML templates with parameterization, service connections, environments, and REST-triggered workflows.

  • Integrate IaC into CI/CD by authoring Ansible playbooks, adapting PowerShell scripts into pipeline-native tasks, and implementing secure secret management via HashiCorp Vault.
  • Deploy and maintain compliance-as-code using AWS Config conformance packs, Azure Policy initiatives, and Terraform-based governance patterns.
  • Implement automated validation including plan-diff gates, contract tests, and API/pipeline test automation to ensure safe, consistent deployments.
  • Apply multi-cloud reasoning across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to design reliable provisioning patterns and understand resource dependencies.
  • Use AI engineering assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude/Claude Code, or equivalent) daily to generate/refactor Terraform modules, pipeline YAML, and documentation, while validating AI-generated IaC before plan/apply.
  • Accelerate troubleshooting using AI to diagnose pipeline failures, Terraform state issues, and policy violations.
  • Speed up new integrations (Google Cloud Platform, Morpheus, ServiceNow, etc.) by leveraging AI tools to interpret provider documentation and produce working automation quickly.

Requirements

Language proficiency :English - professional working proficiency required ); Spanish required for local coordination., * 7-10+ years in infrastructure automation, DevOps engineering, or cloud operations architecture.

  • Deep experience with:
  • Terraform / Terraform Enterprise (modules, workspaces, state, plan-diff workflows)
  • Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, variable groups, environments, REST API)
  • Ansible playbook authoring and CI/CD integration
  • PowerShell automation and refactoring into pipeline tasks
  • HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
  • Working knowledge of:
  • AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Storage Gateway, IAM, AWS Config)
  • Azure (compute, networking, management groups, Azure Policy)
  • Google Cloud Platform (Terraform google provider, projects/org policies, Workload Identity Federation)
  • Strong Git proficiency and experience with automated testing for APIs and pipelines.
  • Demonstrated use of AI engineering assistants in daily workflows.
