Job description

The BI Engineer 2 position in the Network Strategy & Analytics team will be responsible for development of network analytics applications and tools including the extraction and analysis of information from various provider contract systems including facility and physician contracts and help support compliance with pricing transparency regulations.

Responsibilities

The BI Engineer 2 position in the Network Strategy & Analytics team will be responsible for:

Development of network analytics applications and tools including the extraction and analysis of information from various provider contract systems including facility and physician contracts.

Development of processes to help support compliance with pricing transparency regulations. This role provides opportunities to understand provider contracting mechanisms.

Requirements

A good fit candidate is a detail oriented associate with a strong computer skillset in handling large datasets. Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and terminology for hospitals, ancillary providers, and physicians is desired.

This role makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. This role should follow established guidelines/procedures where necessar.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in analytics or quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

2 years of demonstrated analytical and reporting experience

Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis

1 years of experience in SQL (querying, writing code, etc.)

In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc.

Proficient in Microsoft Access

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with healthcare claims, membership, and other data sources used to evaluate cost, mix, and other key financial metrics

Experience with provider contract reimbursement methodology
