Job description
We are seeking a Cloud Vulnerability Remediation Analyst to support enterprise cloud security operations for the Texas Department of Transportation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cloud environments, vulnerability management, and security remediation activities., * Review and analyze vulnerability findings in cloud-hosted resources using approved scanning tools
- Assess risk impact and applicability across cloud infrastructure and platform services
- Execute remediation actions including patching, configuration changes, and security hardening
- Validate remediation results and ensure successful closure of vulnerability tickets
- Perform cloud patching and update activities for supported workloads
- Implement compensating controls when vendor patches are unavailable
- Maintain remediation tasks and change records for audit and compliance requirements
- Follow change management and security remediation procedures
- Provide status updates, documentation, and evidence for audits and leadership reporting
- Collaborate with Security, Cloud, and Application teams to resolve complex vulnerabilities
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years IT experience with cloud infrastructure, system administration, or vulnerability remediation
- 3+ years experience in enterprise cloud environments
- Strong understanding of vulnerability remediation, patching, and hardening
- Experience with ITSM and change management processes
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to follow security and remediation procedures, * Experience with enterprise vulnerability management and SLAs
- Knowledge of cloud security posture management and security baselines
- Cloud/security certifications (AWS, Azure, Security+, etc.)
