Job description
We are looking for a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer / DBA to join our production support team. You will be responsible for both hands-on database development and administration designing PL/SQL solutions, tuning performance, supporting production systems, and ensuring the reliability and security of Oracle database environments in a federal setting., Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages (Oracle 11g or newer)
Write, modify, and tune complex SQL and PL/SQL queries for optimal performance
Administer Oracle database environments following best practices for reliability, scalability, and security
Build and maintain automation scripts for data processing, database maintenance, and monitoring using PL/SQL, Perl, and shell scripting
Support production implementations and ensure smooth transition of system changes into production environments
Perform root-cause analysis on data quality, system performance, and application issues and implement permanent fixes
Analyze and resolve database and application performance issues in collaboration with application, infrastructure, and support teams
Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting support to development teams
Create and maintain technical documentation including system diagrams and operational runbooks, * Platform & Architecture: Build and maintain a self-service application delivery platform for AWS workloads; define YAML-based application contracts used by application teams to streamline onboarding.

CI/CD Automation: Design and develop end-to-end Jenkins Declarative and Scripted pipelines using Groovy. Establish pipeline standards, reusable shared libraries, and multibranch deployment workflows.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Create robust Terraform modules and root-module compositions for multi-service applications (incorporating ECS Fargate, S3, SQS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch). Establish baseline practices for Terraform state and environment management.

Governance & Environment Control: Implement automated promotion workflows, approval gates, drift prevention, and strict environment separation.

Collaboration & Enablement: Partner closely with developers, security, and operations teams to embed security compliance into the delivery pipeline. Provide documentation, templates, and onboarding guides for application teams.

Optimization: Continuously improve platform reliability, observability, security posture, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline OR four (4) additional years of equivalent experience
Minimum six (6) years of experience as an Oracle Developer and/or DBA
Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL triggers, procedures, functions, and packages
Proven Oracle performance tuning skills across SQL, PL/SQL, and database configuration
Proficiency with Oracle tools: SQL Developer, SQL Loader, and related utilities
Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies Agile and Waterfall
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust active Public Trust or Suitability strongly preferred
Availability for 247 on-call rotation and/or overnight deployments as required
Preferred Qualifications
AWS cloud experience: RDS, Lambda, EC2, Redshift
Experience supporting distributed, complex IT environments with local and remote teams ## Role Overview: Platform Engineer(DevOps)
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain a secure, scalable, self-service application delivery platform for AWS workloads. In this role, you will establish the "golden paths" for application teams, automating everything from infrastructure provisioning to multi-environment deployment pipelines., * Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "Public Trust" clearance. Candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding. Candidates with an active Public Trust or Suitability are highly preferred.

Education & Experience: Bachelor s degree (or an additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree) paired with a minimum of seven (7) years of platform development experience.

AWS Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services, specifically ECS, IAM, S3, SQS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudWatch.

Terraform Mastery: Deep understanding of Terraform, including modular design, backend/state management, and environment scaffolding.

Jenkins Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Jenkins pipeline architecture, including shared libraries and automated code promotion from development through production.

Core Engineering Skills: Strong scripting capabilities in Bash or Python, alongside a comprehensive understanding of the SDLC, deployment strategies, and release governance.
What Would Be Nice To Have

Experience designing and scaling Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).

Familiarity with Spring Boot or containerized Java services.

Experience implementing automated policy enforcement (e.g., OPA) and multi-account AWS architectures.

Understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous patterns.
