Job description

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API development, database engineering, and CI/CD automation., * Design and develop backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices
  • Develop and optimize Oracle/DB2 databases, PL/SQL, and transactional SQL
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and deployment automation tools
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on monitoring, resiliency, and release management
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Java development
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience building REST APIs and Microservices
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle or DB2 databases
  • Experience with PL/SQL and transactional SQL
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and deployment automation
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial Services or Asset Management domain experience
  • Exposure to Alternative Investments, Derivatives, Private Equity, or Liquid Alternatives
  • Experience working with stakeholders and leading technical discussions
