Job description

The IT Services Specialist is a key member of the Mueller Water Products IT team, providing essential technical support and services to our user community, including Executive staff and the C-Suite team. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from diagnosing and resolving technical issues to installing and configuring hardware and software. The position also plays a critical role in facilitating the onboarding of new hires and maintaining a high standard for IT support and service delivery across the organization., * Executive and C-Suite Support: Provide dedicated technical support to Executive staff, including the C-Suite, ensuring prompt issue resolution and optimal technology performance.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software incidents, including issues with company-issued computers, peripherals, conference room technology, and network connectivity.

  • Hardware and Software Management: Install and configure IT hardware and software. Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure reliable operations.

  • Network Support: Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.

  • Service Desk Operations: Follow standard operating procedures and best practices for service desk operations. Track, route, and document incidents and service requests, with experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

  • New Hire Onboarding: Manage technical onboarding for new hires, including device configuration and workspace setup to ensure a smooth start.

  • Manufacturing/Production IT Support: Provide onsite and remote IT support for manufacturing and production environments, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of these settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support role with a proven ability to resolve a wide range of technical issues
  • Experience supporting executive teams, with strong communication skills and a high level of discretion
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems, with experience in IT Asset Management
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) best practices and hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL) are preferred
