Job description

Storage Design Engineer, Senior - Quantico, VA - Secret

SOC is seeking an experienced Storage Design Engineer to support enterprise storage infrastructure, capacity planning, performance management, and disaster recovery initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Technical Experience:

  • Enterprise storage administration and engineering experience.
  • NetApp Data ONTAP experience, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SnapMirror, SnapDrive, and SnapManager for Exchange and SQL.
  • Experience with NetApp tools such as OnCommand Operations Manager, System Manager, Data Fabric Manager, and PowerShell automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI technologies.
  • Experience designing and supporting high-availability and disaster recovery storage solutions.
  • Experience supporting VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, and Distributed File System (DFS).
  • Experience with API development, scripting, and database technologies such as Oracle or similar relational databases.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance optimization skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large Department of Defense or enterprise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of storage security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across engineering, networking, and systems administration teams.

Minimum Required Education Level High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Minimum 8 plus Years Experience in General IT

Minimum DOD 8570 IASAE Level II Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) - Level II

Employment Prerequisites: The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, drug urinalysis, and verified compliance with Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.
