Job description
We are looking for a Digital Architect to shape and evolve the digital, analytics, and AI landscape supporting Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics & Technology (MSAT).
This is primarily an architecture, strategy, and roadmap-focused role. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining future-state architectures, identifying opportunities to enhance existing capabilities, and guiding the adoption of scalable digital and analytics solutions across the MSAT domain.
The role does not involve hands-on software development or direct implementation. Instead, it focuses on architectural leadership, governance, technology strategy, and collaboration across business, scientific, and technology teams.

- Define and maintain architecture strategies, roadmaps, and target-state solutions supporting MSAT objectives.
- Assess and enhance the existing digital, data, analytics, and AI landscape.
- Lead architectural decisions and technology evaluations aligned with business and scientific priorities.
- Establish architecture standards, principles, and governance models.
Analytics & AI
- Define architecture patterns supporting advanced analytics, AI, and data-driven decision making.
- Guide the adoption and integration of AI capabilities.
- Support scalable analytics solutions for process optimization, technology transfer, and manufacturing performance improvement.
- Ensure analytics and AI solutions are explainable, compliant, and suitable for regulated environments.
Manufacturing & MSAT Enablement
- Partner with MSAT teams to support:
- Process optimization
- Technology transfer
- Process validation
- Lifecycle management
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Translate scientific and operational requirements into scalable technology strategies.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure architectural solutions align with GxP, GMP, GAMP5, CSV, and Data Integrity requirements.
- Embed security, compliance, and governance principles into architecture decisions.
- Support audit and inspection readiness from a digital architecture perspective.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to MSAT, Quality, Data, Digital, and IT stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration across scientific, business, and technology teams.
- Influence strategic decisions and drive alignment across multiple functions.
Requirements
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Manufacturing Sciences (MSAT)
- Manufacturing Analytics
- Data Science and Advanced Analytics
- Digital Manufacturing
- Manufacturing IT/OT
- Solution or Enterprise Architecture
- Experience working within regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences organizations is preferred.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing Sciences (MSAT) concepts and processes.
- Strong background in Data Science, Analytics, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics and data platforms.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application within regulated environments.
- Knowledge of GxP, GMP, CSV, and Data Integrity requirements.
Technical Knowledge
Exposure to some of the following areas:
- Public Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Data platforms and analytics ecosystems
- Manufacturing systems and digital manufacturing environments
- Data governance and architecture frameworks
