Job description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing engaging, user-friendly websites that meet client specifications and enhance overall user experience. This role involves collaborating with developers and content creators to produce visually appealing and functional digital platforms, ensuring optimal performance across devices and browsers. The successful applicant will possess a strong foundation in digital design, interaction design, and front-end development, with a keen eye for detail and usability., * Create compelling website layouts and visual elements using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Figma.

  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate website structure and functionality employing Axure, Balsamiq, or InVision.
  • Implement responsive web design principles using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript Less to ensure compatibility across various devices.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to optimise website architecture and improve user experience (UX).
  • Maintain existing websites through regular updates using content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or SharePoint.
  • Analyse website performance with tools like Google Analytics and optimise SEO strategies to increase visibility.
  • Collaborate with developers on back-end integration using PHP, MySQL, SQL, or VHDL where applicable.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices in information architecture.
  • Assist in website maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues and updating content as needed.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UI?, * Proven expertise in digital design, UI/UX principles, wireframing, and information architecture.

  • Proficiency in front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and preferable (React, Angular), AJAX, Node.js, PHP.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web design techniques for seamless performance on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe XD/Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress and Drupal for website management.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics for data-driven optimisation strategies.
  • Ability to conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Skills in SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
  • Understanding of web standards and accessibility guidelines to ensure inclusive digital experiences. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisational skills combined with creativity and technical proficiency to thrive in this dynamic role.
