Software Engineer / AI Product / Python / LLM

This employer is hiring an AI Solutions Engineer for a direct hire role based in Kennett Square, PA (2 days onsite per week). This position sits at the intersection of software engineering and business consulting, focused on building practical AI solutions that improve real-world workflows. You'll be working heavily with Python, modern web technologies, and large language models to create scalable applications-from early prototype through full production deployment.

Daily Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-powered applications end-to-end: 35%
• Partner with stakeholders to define and scope solutions: 20%
• Design system architecture and integration approaches: 15%
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new ideas: 15%
• Optimize and maintain production systems: 15%

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with some client-facing or stakeholder interaction
• Strong Python development experience and ability to build production-ready systems
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs (prompting, RAG, or similar patterns)
• Proven ability to take solutions from concept/prototype into production
• Experience designing scalable systems and integrating with existing applications
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with non-technical teams
• Experience with APIs, data pipelines, and structured/unstructured data

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or full-stack development
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or semantic search
• Background in consulting, startups, or fast-paced environments
• Industry experience in financial services, real estate, or private equity
• Experience building internal tools, automation workflows, or AI-driven products

• Base salary up to $225,000
