Java/JEE Technical Lead - Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are seeking an expert Lead Java/JEE Developer / Technical Lead to drive the analysis, design, and development of high-availability enterprise applications. In this role, you will act as a key technical leader, establishing coding standards, mentoring a team of developers, and serving as the primary liaison to the technical infrastructure teams to optimize application performance and execute failover planning. Core Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Governance: Provide direct technical guidance and oversight to a team of developers. Implement and enforce development methodologies, UI standards, and coding style guides. Infrastructure Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison with infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks. Participate directly in performance test planning, endurance testing, deployment testing, and failover planning/execution. Enterprise Development & Design: Lead code reviews, data analysis, and architectural design for highly scalable multi-tier applications using Java/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT, and IBM WebSphere software. Data & Documentation: Oversee database activities (data access, manipulation, and logical database modeling). Prepare and review comprehensive technical documentation, schemas, and system designs. 84 months of experience designing and implementing highly available and scalable multitier applications using Object Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture involving data structures, algorithms, software design and JEE design patterns. 2. 84 months of experience in developing applications that are implemented with JAVA Development Kit (JDK 1.8 or higher). 3. 72 months of experience using J2EE based Application Servers such as WebSphere Application Server 7.0 or higher. 4. 72 months of experience in developing applications using JPA and/or Hibernate using Oracle or SQL Server databases. 5. 72 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ & JMS. 6. 72 months of experience with web development using JSF/JSP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
