Job description
The applied AI and data science program brings together data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to empower employees to safely release and test product changes and understand the impact on customers. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Configuration Management and Experimentation team, you will help design and develop software solutions that expand a custom experimentation and configuration management platform. You will work in a full-stack environment using AWS, MySQL, Redis, Prisma ORM, Node.js, Python, GraphQL, Nest.js, and React., * Design and build scalable, reliable software solutions including UI components, APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain systems that support experimentation and configuration management.
- Write clean, testable code with appropriate monitoring and documentation.
- Deploy, test, and troubleshoot applications in a cloud-based environment.
- Promote software development best practices and code quality.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Support production systems, which may include occasional on-call responsibilities.
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand platform needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and stakeholder technical teams.
Requirements
- Experience as a senior-level developer with a background in full-stack development for complex projects, roughly 6+ years.
- Experience developing APIs with NodeJS and TypeScript, with knowledge of microservices and/or Model View Controller design patterns.
- Experience developing and/or consuming GraphQL microservices.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience developing UI with React or similar JS frameworks.
- Experience with AWS or a similar cloud platform, including services like Aurora, DocumentDB, EC2, and EKS.
- Familiarity with source control, branch management, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Experience working with serverless functions.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RabbitMQ.
- Expertise with event-driven architecture.
- AWS Developer Certification.
- Experience with Git-based platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with Docker, Redis, and an ORM built over a relational database.
- Experience with experimentation, statistical testing, and data analysis.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field.
