Job description
- Primary liaison with OS and toolchain vendors (e.g., Lynx, PTC), overseeing defect tracking and resolution for vendor deliverables and collaborating closely on design efforts and new customizations
- Review software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy
- Interact with senior software personnel through both written and verbal communication.
- Produce documentation related to the design and release of software artifacts.
- Develop complete software solutions and influence the successful completion of supported programs and projects.
- Understand and utilizes Agile and DevSecOps software development methods, automation, and continuous integration.
- Follows organizational processes and procedures.
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering., This position is in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Living in Massachusetts means you'll have easy access to the ocean and locations of historical significance. Requirements
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Typically requires a bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience with LynxOS or other Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Experience in embedded systems development and debugging.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for the development of automation tools and test frameworks.
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience with system initialization software development.
- Experience with POSIX APIs and other RTOS-specific APIs.
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.) and security in embedded systems.
- Experience with hardware architectures such as ARM, PowerPC, or x86.
- Experience in performing software integration and testing for embedded or real-time systems.
- Experience developing automation pipelines using industry tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, or Travis
- Experience with device driver development and hardware-software integration.
- Experience with real-time scheduling algorithms and system optimization.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
- Prior experience within Patriot software is highly desirable.
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
