Job description
Performs daily monitoring of infrastructure including network, physical and virtual servers and appliances
Perform day-to-day support of End points and infrastructure components, including maintaining core devices, file storage, print services, and backup systems
Triages and resolves Tier 3 requests and develops an understanding of Tier escalation process. Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming requests for assistance
Configures, maintains, tests, and documents Systems Administration specific applications and knowledge base as well as documents and monitors incident and work requests per departmental procedures
Fulfills routine communication requirements, including system documentation, status reporting and creating/updating procedural documentation. Utilizes ticketing system to document and manage change requests, client requests and issues
Follows and adheres to simple and complex instructions, including SOP's
Reviews and evaluates new technology and makes recommendations for use within IT, Corporate and the company as a whole
Willing and able to travel (5-20%)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays, as needed

Requirements
5+ years of System engineering experience in a large corporate IT operations environment including on prem and cloud systems
Heavy Windows technology stack to include : Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, Group Policy (GPO), NTFS/DFS, along with enterprise tools such as SCCM, PRTG, PowerShell, Wireshark, PuTTY, and Dell OpenManage
Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN/ExpressRoute), Azure Storage, or Azure CLI/PowerShell
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi SAN infrastructure, and Veeam Backup & Replication
Experience with enterprise applications including Citrix, SharePoint, Paycom, Barracuda suite, and Freshservice
Strong understanding of SCCM/MECM for operating system image deployment, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting
Solid network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, wireless, and switching
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell
Experience supporting current Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365/Office suite
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong Customer facing - both customer service and presentation ability
Strong problem solving skills
Strong Documentation skills
Related certifications are a plus : Network+, CompTIA Security+, VMware VCA, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA (or equivalent), and Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), or AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)
Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs of equipment. May be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Bonus points for :
Exposure to Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup
Familiarity with SharePoint Online and hybrid integrations
automation skills with additional experience in Python or Azure automation (Runbooks, Logic Apps)
Experience with Cisco Meraki and Azure networking concepts
Experience supporting or integrating with EHR/EMR systems
