Job description

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions., * Develop cloud-native software solutions using Java, working within a cutting-edge ecosystem of Kubernetes, Hadoop, Accumulo, and other open-source tools

  • Build and support scalable, distributed systems that manage and process vast amounts of mission data
  • Tackle complex technical challenges that directly impact national security efforts
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while also having the autonomy to drive projects independently
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Requirements

  • A motivated Java developer with strong problem-solving skills and a sharp attention to detail
  • Equally comfortable working independently or in a team-oriented environment
  • Eager to learn and work with a wide range of tools and technologies as mission needs evolve

Tech Stack & Tools You'll Use:

  • Java, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Accumulo
  • Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS)
  • Cloud-native architectures
  • Agile development methodologies, * Clearance: An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field is required
  • Master's in a technical field is acceptable and will count towards 2 years of experience.
  • In lieu of the degree, we can accept an additional 4 years of experience.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Java and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with MapReduce frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig).
  • Familiar with Linux development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible.
  • Certifications: Must have one or more of the following certifications.
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer
  • IAT Level II Certification is required, * Experience with microservices and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)

Benefits & conditions

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
