Job description

We are on the lookout for a passionate and highly motivated Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale cloud and database platform solutions leveraging modern AWS technologies. This role is responsible for delivering secure, scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and database platforms while applying best practices in Agile, DevSecOps, automation, and continuous innovation. As an Individual Contributor, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to architect, automate, and optimize cloud and database environments that support critical business applications, platform modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives., * Develop, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPC, S3, EC2, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, Service Endpoints, API Gateway, and related services.

  • Develop, deploy, and manage database infrastructure solutions utilizing AWS RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB, Timestream, Neptune, and AWS Transfer Family.
  • Automate cloud service deployments and integrations using Terraform.
  • Deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions through Jenkins and XL Release pipelines.
  • Design and implement secure, highly available, and disaster recovery-enabled cloud database environments.
  • Ensure database platforms are engineered for availability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Support application modernization initiatives and lead migrations of databases from on-premises environments to AWS.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, architectural patterns, and cloud/database best practices.
  • Contribute to platform roadmaps and maintain product portfolio components.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Business SMEs, and application development teams., * Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying AWS cloud and database solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services, including VPC, S3, EC2, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, Service Endpoints, and API Gateway.
  • Strong experience with AWS database technologies, including Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Neptune, and Timestream.
  • Experience developing Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code solutions and integrating deployments with Jenkins, GitHub, and XL Release.
  • Experience with SQL administration tools such as OmniDB, DBeaver, SQL Developer, and PGAdmin.
  • Experience with database administration, including security, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, performance monitoring, and optimization., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (highly preferred).
  • AWS Certified Database Specialty (highly preferred).
  • Experience with Automotive and/or Manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience with database migrations, high availability, and replication.
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, DocumentDB, or Cassandra.
