Job description
- Define, document, and prioritize business, system, and product requirements aligned with organizational goals and customer needs.
- Lead requirement-gathering efforts, including JAD sessions, with stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and alignment across business and technology teams.
- Gain and maintain deep knowledge of business processes and system capabilities to ensure requests align with operational constraints and best practices.
- Serve as the liaison between internal/external stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring clear, timely, and positive communication.
- Create and manage a structured product backlog with well-crafted user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature prioritization.
- Own and refine the product vision and roadmap, adjusting strategy based on market trends, stakeholder feedback, and evolving business needs.
- Conduct gap analyses between current system functionality and new business requirements, collaborating closely with architects and developers.
- Partner with Project Managers to support end-to-end project delivery, from planning through release.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that deliverables meet business and functional expectations.
- Effectively manage competing priorities using strong organizational and communication skills.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to help guide product and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO I/II) is a strong plus.
- 8+ years of experience in business systems analysis or related roles, including 3+ years in Agile environments.
- Proven experience in business requirements gathering, process documentation, and gap analysis.
- Skilled in writing clear and actionable user stories, business requirements, and managing product backlogs.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications and product features.
- Proficient in tools such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking in fast-paced settings.
- Capable of thriving in both team-driven and independent work environments.
