Job description
The System Engineer for System Analysis & Functional Design is responsible for the structured decomposition of vehicle functions based on requirements and stakeholder needs, and for modeling them within a consistent functional system architecture that serves as the foundation for the technical and physical architecture of the entire vehicle.
- Analysis of stakeholder needs and system requirements to derive system functions
- Creation of system context, external interfaces, use cases, operational concepts and system behavior
- Ensuring traceability between system requirements, functional architecture and logical architecture
- Deriving requirements from the areas of system safety, EMC and cybersecurity into the functional analysis
- Review and responsibility for the approval and maturity level of function-oriented system specifications and documentation in accordance with Rheinmetall project milestones
- Conducting functional analyses and functional decomposition to create functional architectures
- Modeling of functional chains, functional behavior, interfaces and data flows
- Creation of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc. using SysML
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Experience in systems engineering, system requirements, and MBSE for mechatronic products
- Experience with the V-model in vehicle development; E/E architecture is a plus
- Knowledge of SysML modeling, and the ability to perform top-down and bottom-up analysis
- Experience working with DOORS Classic, Cameo/Rhapsody
- Excellent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
- Strong analytical and systemic thinking across various fields
- Willingness to travel for work
