Job description

As a Product Owner, you will steward the vision, roadmap and delivery of 24-7 Prayer's app-based prayer resources and the prayer-room sign up tool, ensuring each product serves users beautifully, reliably and strategically. You will translate ministry vision, user insight, product data and organisational priorities into clear product outcomes, helping teams make wise decisions and deliver experiences that facilitate life-changing encounters with God.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across content, translation, communications, UX/UI, data and development partners, creating clarity and momentum from discovery through launch and iteration. You will maintain a prioritised roadmap, write clear requirements and user stories, define success measures, and ensure our apps continue to grow in reach, depth of engagement, accessibility and spiritual impact across multiple languages and cultures.

To thrive in this role, you will bring proven product owner or product management experience, strong project discipline, confidence working with technical and creative teams, and the ability to use data, research and stakeholder input to prioritise what matters most. You will be highly organised, spiritually mature, collaborative and comfortable serving within a growing cross-cultural Christian movement.

Job location: This role can be based in our Woking office or can be delivered as a hybrid role if you are UK-based. Or it can be undertaken fully remotely if you are based overseas. If hybrid, there is a requirement to attend mandatory in-person meetings at either our Woking office, Guildford or Waverley Abbey House in Farnham averaging once a month. Some GB and international travel will be required for key 24-7 Prayer events., * Being part of a team: as we seek God's kingdom through prayer, mission and justice.   • Partner with senior leaders and the Board App Subcommittee to define product vision, strategic outcomes and app priorities aligned with 24-7 Prayer's mission.
  • Own andmaintainclear product roadmaps, balancing user needs, ministry priorities, technical constraints,capacityand measurable impact.
  • Translate strategy intoprioritisedbacklogs, product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for development and design partners.
  • Develop clear audience personas and user journeys for eachproduct, informed by research, analytics,feedbackand ministry insight.
  • Define and track product KPIs, using data tovalidateopportunities, measure success and inform growth,engagementand retention strategies.
  • Champion the user while making sound trade-offs between scope, quality,costand timeline.
  • Collaborate with 24-7 Prayer'sCTOand development teams toagreedelivery priorities, technicalfeasibilityand release plans.
  • Create clarity for cross-functional teams by capturing decisions, communicating nextstepsand keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Contribute to 24-7 Prayer's broader user journey strategy so app resources are integrated effectively across prayer rooms, content,eventsand communications.
  • Identify,assessand develop futureproductopportunities, partnerships and product enhancements that extend the reach and impact of 24-7 Prayer.

Inner Room and Lectio 365 Apps

  • Shape and deliver clear product pathways,ensuring eachproductserves its distinct audience, spiritualpurposeand growth opportunity.
  • Use research, analytics, userfeedbackand stakeholder input toidentifyimprovements that deepen engagement, support spiritualformationand increase sustainable reach.
  • Work with content, communications, marketing,translationand regional teams togrowthe audiences served by eachproductacross agreed language groups.
  • Coordinate translation andlocalisationactivitysoproductexperiences are high quality, culturallyappropriateand supported by clear workflow, review and launch expectations.
  • Explore strategic connections betweenproductsand wider 24-7 Prayer activity, including prayer rooms, discipleship pathways, events,contentand communications.
  • Support aligned opportunities that extend the reach of app-based resources, including retreats, live-streamed content, books, seasonalcampaignsand other ministry resources., * The Postholder will be expected tomaintaina living relationship with God and live consistently according to biblical principles.
  • Reasonable time will be given for retreat,prayerand personal spiritual development in liaison with your line manager.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UX?, * Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role for a digital product, ideally including mobile apps.

  • Strong product craft, including product discovery, roadmap planning,prioritisation, requirements definition, userstoriesand acceptance criteria.

  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery with developers, designers, content teams, marketers,translatorsand external suppliers.

  • Confident using Agile approaches and delivery rhythms, with enough structure to keep teams aligned and enough flexibility tomaintainmomentum.

  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle, from discovery and validation through launch,optimisationand sunsetting where needed.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret product analytics, define KPIs, surfaceinsightsand apply data to product strategy.

  • Experience with product and delivery tools such as Jira,Aha!,Google Analytics, Firebase, app store analytics,Sentry, Figma or similar platforms.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders, technical teams, creativecontributorsand non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable working cross-culturally and across multiple languages, with sensitivity to local church contexts and global ministry needs.

  • Broad understanding of app technologies, UX/UI principles, accessibility, releaseprocessesand global digital engagement trends.

  • Able to foster a culture of clarity, collaboration,innovationand continuous improvement.

  • A mature Christian faith, active commitment to prayer, and enthusiasm for 24-7 Prayer's vision,valuesand mission.
