Job description

As a Digital Business Change Manager, you'll bridge the gap between operational teams and digital delivery, using your understanding of frontline environments and technologies to unlock high-impact improvements. You'll lead change initiatives that enhance performance through smarter processes, better use of digital solutions, and data-driven decision-making. Working closely with Renewables Digital and IT teams, you'll shape demand, build compelling business cases, and drive adoption, embedding continuous improvement and innovation across the business.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include;

  • Shaping, articulating and maintaining the business transformation roadmap that aligns to central Digital strategy delivered in partnership with Renewables Digital.
  • Supporting innovation and pilots by providing business leadership, subject matter input and operational access, whilst ensuring solution design, security and onboarding are owned by Renewables Digital/IT.
  • Assessing current business data and process maturity, defining priority use cases and working with Renewables Digital to progress them through discovery and delivery.
  • Identifying where advanced technologies can create business value, and support Renewables Digital to assess feasibility and value through agreed discovery and value processes.
  • Leveraging governed, high-quality data and agreed tools to enable analytics, real-time monitoring and decision-support dashboards.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of role specific asset technology, operating models, and lifecycle management.
  • Significant experience in digital transformation within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or asset-intensive industries.
  • Proven ability in strategy deployment, portfolio/demand prioritisation and change leadership, working through formal governance and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of operational technologies and data sources (e.g., SCADA, condition monitoring, work management), and awareness of relevant digital approaches (e.g., IoT platforms, digital twins, analytics/ML) sufficient to translate operational needs into clear requirements for Renewables Digital.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau) and with data concepts (e.g., SQL/Python at a user level) to enable effective problem framing, KPI definition and interaction with digital specialists.
