Job description

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
  • Monitor system health, application performance, and infrastructure metrics using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Implement and maintain logging, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, code quality scans, and security checks into deployment pipelines.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM configurations.
  • Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine operational tasks., The DevOps Engineer (Mid) is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes that support reliable and rapid software delivery. This role bridges development and operations, ensuring that code moves efficiently from development through testing to production environments.

The DevOps Engineer collaborates closely with software developers, QA teams, and system administrators to automate workflows, improve system reliability, and enforce infrastructure best practices. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across cloud platforms, scripting languages, and containerized environments.

This contract supports a government agency's capability to ingest, process, and analyze massive volumes of digital evidence into actionable intelligence. The program drives full lifecycle development, from building scalable applications and forensic tools to integrating enterprise services and maintaining hybrid cloud and classified infrastructure. The work ensures users can securely access, review, and collaborate on evidence in real time. This strengthens national security and investigative outcomes by combining advanced analytics, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery to give investigators faster, more reliable insight into complex digital evidence.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information access required.
  • 2-5 years of developer experience.
  • Experience supporting DevOps or infrastructure engineering in enterprise environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools and configuration management practices
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including identity management, encryption, and system hardening
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
  • Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or ELK).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configuration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
  • Experience in government or DoD environments is desirable., While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
