Job description
We are currently seeking a Networking Senior Analyst - Smart Hands Support to join our team in Yonkers, New York (US-NY), United States (US).
Provides on-site technical support for network infrastructure, hardware installations, and data center operations through remote NOC. This role is hands-on, requiring physical tasks such as equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and site-to-site travel throughout New York City and Westchester. Technicians serve as the on-site extension of the remote NOC and engineering teams, ensuring smooth operations, rapid response to issues, and accurate documentation., * Provide Smart Hands support for network/server hardware (rack/stack, cabling, hardware swaps).
- Troubleshoot and resolve physical connectivity issues, including cable tracing, module/port replacements, and resets.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, hardware upgrades, and emergency repairs.
- Power cycling, console access setup, and module disk/power replacements as directed by remote teams.
- Document work performed, maintain service logs, and update appropriate systems.
- Respond to ticketing system, update tickets to track information and maintain SLAs.
- Support inventory management, shipping/receiving, and site readiness tasks.
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in rotating on-call schedules.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to operational procedures and change management policies.
Requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on IT/network support or server infrastructure experience., * High school diploma or trade school training or relevant experience.
- Reliable transporation, as there is significant local travel.
- Strong understanding of networking (OSI Layers 2 & 3), cabling, and data center operations.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, UPS systems, and electrical/cooling infrastructure.
- Experience with Visio, testing tools, and interpreting floor plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable transportation and a clean, insurable driving record.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and flu (as required for hospital access).
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco certifications (CCNA, etc.)
- Basic console access and configuration knowledge.
- Familiarity with structured cabling (copper/fiber) and environmental monitoring tools.
- Experience with Service Now or similar ticketing/change management systems.
- Strong time management, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Availability for shift work, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.
Benefits & conditions
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $78,240 - $117,360. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
