Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Perl Developer to join our dynamic software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Perl-based applications and services that support our business operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development principles, with a focus on Perl programming, and demonstrate proficiency in modern web and application development frameworks., * Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Perl scripts and applications to meet project requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions utilizing microservices architecture.
  • Integrate Perl applications with various databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless data exchange across platforms.
  • Optimize application performance through effective debugging, code refactoring, and multithreading techniques.
  • Maintain version control using tools such as GitHub, SVN, or TFS; ensure adherence to SDLC best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and unit testing to uphold quality standards.
  • Work within Agile development environments to deliver iterative improvements efficiently.
  • Support deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to IIS, Apache, or other web servers; ensure system security and stability.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microservices?, * Proven experience in software development with a focus on Perl programming language.

  • Strong knowledge of web development frameworks including React, Angular, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and UI/UX principles.
  • Hands-on experience with database design and management using SQL (T-SQL), PL/SQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of application development methodologies including Agile/Scrum; familiarity with SDLC processes.
  • Experience working with cloud services such as AWS or Azure for deployment and scaling applications.
  • Proficiency in using IDEs like Visual Studio or Eclipse for coding and debugging.
  • Understanding of web protocols including SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, WCF services.
  • Ability to perform debugging effectively across multiple platforms; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to containerization tools like Docker is a plus; familiarity with microservices architecture is desirable.
