Job description

A large enterprise organization is seeking a Full Stack .NET Application Developer to support the development and modernization of web applications. This is a hybrid contract-to-hire role based in Northwest suburbs of Chicago (2 days onsite) working with .NET Core, C#, Angular, and modern web technologies.

This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys working across the full stack and contributing directly to production systems. The team is looking for someone who can work independently, collaborate across functions, and help enhance scalable, secure applications. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern tooling, contribute to meaningful application improvements, and gain exposure to AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on full stack development experience
  • Strong proficiency with .NET Core and C#
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks
  • Experience developing and maintaining web applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework Core
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Exposure to AI/ML integrations in applications
  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
  • Knowledge of common design patterns (MVC, Factory, Singleton, etc.)

  • 45% Backend development using .NET Core and C#
  • 35% Front-end development using Angular, HTML, and CSS
  • 20% API integrations, CI/CD, and optimization
