Job description

· Provide L3 Operations support for complex enterprise network environments.

· Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents affecting connectivity, performance, and availability.

· Design, engineer, and implement network solutions across routing, switching, security, and access control domains.

· Support Incident Management, Change Management, Request Fulfillment, Event Management, and Problem Management processes.

· Perform root cause analysis and drive permanent corrective actions.

· Monitor and optimize network performance, reliability, and capacity.

· Participate in network capacity planning and large-scale infrastructure modeling.

· Execute firewall upgrades, policy audits, and security-related network changes.

· Develop automation solutions using Python to improve operational efficiency.

· Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

· Collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to improve network stability and resiliency.

Requirements

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Global Network Operations team supporting a large-scale, highly available, secure enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting complex network infrastructures within banking, financial services, or similarly regulated mission-critical environments.

This role requires strong L3 operations expertise, advanced routing knowledge, firewall administration, network automation, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues impacting global network services., · 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.

· Experience supporting large-scale, complex, highly available, secure environments (Banking, Financial Services, Investment Management, Insurance, or similar regulated industries preferred).

· Strong L3 Operations and production support background.

· Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week in Princeton, NJ or Quincy, MA., o BGP (including route policies, path selection, loop prevention, route reflectors, troubleshooting)

o OSPF

o EIGRP

o Enterprise routing and switching architectures

· Hands-on experience with:

o Cisco Nexus 9000 (Nexus 9K)

o Palo Alto Firewalls

o Cisco Firewalls

o Fortinet Firewalls

· Experience performing:

o Firewall code upgrades

o Firewall policy reviews, audits, and rule changes

o Network security implementations and troubleshooting

· Experience deploying and supporting:

o Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)

· Strong Python scripting skills for:

o Network automation

o Deployment automation

o Operational troubleshooting, · Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Trading, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.

· Experience supporting global network infrastructures with strict uptime and security requirements.

· Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture and operational best practices.
