Job description
- Design, develop, and implement advanced analytical solutions to support business decision-making.
- Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques to large datasets for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and ETL frameworks.
- Establish and manage scalable data infrastructure and environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Write complex SQL queries and manage data within relational and SQL databases.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, models, tools, and infrastructure.
- Set up new infrastructure, databases, and environments as needed.
- Understand existing hardware environments and identify additional infrastructure requirements.
- Run and manage compilers, interpreters, databases, and supporting systems.
- Work with large-scale datasets to ensure efficient and reliable data processing., Applicants, with criminal histories, are considered in a manner that is consistent with local, state and federal laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working within the Energy and Utilities industry highly preferred.
- Full-stack technical knowledge, including front-end and back-end development components.
- Strong experience with SQL and database management.
- Experience developing and managing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI techniques.
- Experience with BI tools, including Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and infrastructure design.
- Ability to work effectively with large-scale datasets.
- Programming experience, preferably in Python and/or R.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Hardware and infrastructure experience, including servers, databases, storage systems, and cloud-based environments.
- Ability to set up, manage, and scale infrastructure to support data engineering, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AI and advanced machine learning frameworks.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and related ecosystems.
- Experience setting up new environments and infrastructure from the ground up.
- Knowledge of hardware, server configuration, and systems administration.
- Experience working in energy, utilities, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with DevOps practices and data engineering tools.
Benefits & conditions
*** Duration: 12 months contract w/ possibility of extension or conversion to FTE role
Notes:
- Work Schedule: Hybrid - anticipated 3 days onsite in office minimum.
- Interview Process: 2 step interview, 1 MS Teams video interview, 2nd round will be an in-person interview.
- Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (shift times may vary).
