Job description

Duties: Design and deliver microservices-based applications. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose architectural solutions. Participate in the full software development life cycle including architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Ensure ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives occur regularly. Lead the migration of legacy modules to cloud-ready, event-driven microservices, utilizing deep Domain-Driven Design principles, React, and temporal data modeling. Leverage AI/ML techniques to enhance search functionality and implement NLP models. Migrate platforms from Oracle to MongoDB. Design and develop applications to streamline workflows and remediate data errors. Automate deployments and orchestrate server restarts. Deploy applications to cloud platforms using relevant technologies.

Requirements

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: designing and delivering microservices-based enterprise applications to support scalable, distributed business systems for wholesale banking operations; utilizing application architecture solutions to build software application to satisfy business requirements; performing the full software development life cycle, including architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance; performing agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective; migrating legacy modules to cloud-ready, event-driven microservices; migrating legacy banking modules to cloud-ready, event-driven microservices using Java-based frameworks including Spring boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch and Apache Kafka; migrating platforms from Oracle to MongoDB using Oracle, PL/SQL, MongoDB, JPA, Hibernate, and JDBC; designing and developing applications to streamline workflows and remediate data errors in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, IBM WebSphere, Drools, SOAP, REST, Spring Batch, Camunda, Kafka, JWT, OAuth 2.0, and React; automating deployments and orchestrating server restarts using Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines, Maven, and Gradle; using Al code assistants and tools including Windsurf, Claude Code, and OpenAl Codex. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: deploying applications to cloud platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.

Full-Time. Salary: $153,317.00-$155,000.00 per year.
