Job description
We are seeking a highly sophisticated and technically grounded Senior IT Project Manager (Level V) to take operational ownership of our enterprise network transport and mission-critical communications infrastructure portfolios. In this role, you will architect and execute end-to-end deployment strategies for large-scale network upgrades, focusing heavily on utility-grade microwave networks, multi-plexing transport systems, common facility buildouts, and core routing environments. This position demands a hybrid project management specialist who can seamlessly blend rigid Waterfall milestone budgeting (for physical infrastructure and asset delivery) with Agile, iterative deployment methodologies (to ensure smooth system cutovers and zero operational downtime)., End-to-End Infrastructure Governance Project Lifecycle Ownership: Direct the scoping, scheduling, budget allocation, and full-lifecycle delivery of complex, capital-intensive IT network infrastructure initiatives. Network Transport Upgrades: Oversee and drive multi-site deployments involving long-haul microwave networks, common communications facilities, multiplexing equipment, and specialized network provisioning tools. Iterative Deployment Strategy: Engineer and execute multi-phased cutover strategies utilizing an iterative approach to achieve seamless production handoffs and completely minimize disruption to live operational environments.
Cross-Functional Team & Vendor Leadership Matrix Coordination: Assemble, align, and guide highly technical cross-functional teams, including principal network engineers, field technicians, third-party vendors, and executive stakeholders. Communication Management: Serve as the central technical authority and primary point of contact for all project status communication, data synthesis, and executive steering committee reporting. Team Mentorship: Provide ongoing operational mentorship, documentation framework guidance, and career development coaching to junior project managers and delivery team members.
Risk Architecture & Methodology Alignment Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively isolate, model, and mitigate complex deployment and logistics risks, establishing rapid escalation structures to ensure successful project outcomes. Methodology Blending: Drive organization-wide adoption of project management best practices, dynamically balancing Waterfall structural tracking with Agile delivery iterations based on specific infrastructure needs. Compliance & Standards: Guarantee that all hardware staging, site provisioning, and network configurations adhere strictly to corporate security policies, structural standards, and regulatory compliance criteria.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) years of direct professional experience managing complex, high-stakes IT network infrastructure projects. Technical Domain Depth: Demonstrated project management expertise navigating microwave network transport solutions, common communication facility assets, and multiplexing/routing platforms. Methodology Mastery: Advanced, functional knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks, with a proven history of executing iterative deployment loops. Core Competencies: Elite problem-solving and analytical capabilities coupled with exceptional stakeholder management and presentation skills., Prior project management experience delivering technology or telecommunications initiatives within the utility, energy, or critical infrastructure sectors. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Agile Scrum certifications (such as CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe).
