Job description
We are seeking a high-caliber Enterprise Data Platform Lead to own the design, evolution, and operational excellence of our mission-critical data stack. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will serve as the primary "Gatekeeper" and Architect for the platforms supporting our global analytics, integration, and BI initiatives. You will act as the vital link between Data Engineering and partner organizations-including Cyber Security, DevOps, and Cloud Infrastructure-ensuring our ecosystems are secure, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise-grade standards., Platform Ownership: Own the end-to-end data engineering stack, including storage (Snowflake), transformation (dbt), ingestion (Informatica), and orchestration within an AWS environment. Architectural Governance: Define and maintain reference architectures and "Best Practice" standards for data modeling, ingestion layering, and naming conventions. Strategic Collaboration: Act as the primary technical interface with Cyber Security (access controls/audits), Cloud Infrastructure (resiliency), and Enterprise Architecture teams. DevOps Leadership: Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines for data platforms. Integrate Git-based workflows and automated testing to ensure release confidence and reliability. Technical Stewardship: Guide solution designs to ensure efficient use of dbt and Snowflake. Mentor data engineers on software engineering principles and modern analytics patterns. Operational Excellence: Drive platform roadmaps, monitor performance metrics, and lead cost-optimization efforts across the cloud data footprint.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: * Minimum 7 years in Data Engineering or Platform Engineering. At least 3 years in a Technical Lead, Platform Lead, or Principal-level role. Technical Mastery: Expert-level Snowflake: Administration, architecture, and security. Advanced dbt: Deep knowledge of modeling patterns, testing, and environment management.Informatica: Proficiency in PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud. DevOps/CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and Jenkins (or equivalent). Attributes: Proven ability to influence without direct authority and comfortable leading high-level architecture discussions across multiple cross-functional teams.
