Job description

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a software development professional to be part of our Application Development Team. As a Senior .NET Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and/or modifying software applications and components using Visual Studio, .NET and SPFx technologies, and 3rd party tools like React, Gulp, and/or NodeJS.
  • Working with SQL database and data storage technologies.
  • Serving as a technical subject matter expert, as assigned, to perform application design & development tasks.
  • Performing SharePoint Administration functions (e.g. site maintenance, user & content management).

The preferred candidate will have experience with .NET, SQL, C#, and SharePoint. Why Work for the State of Ohio, On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Required to carry a cellular phone as assigned. Required to work occasional overtime as assigned.

Job duty, knowledge, skill & ability statements at lower level are understood to be able to be performed at any higher level.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Providing code feedback?, 60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
