- Manage network devices such as Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Juniper devices, and SAN equipment to maintain high availability and resilience.
- Implement and support network security protocols using tools like Cisco ISE, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), LDAP, and system hardening techniques to safeguard organizational data.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, PRTG, and other network monitoring solutions to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Configure and maintain routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; manage IPsec VPNs; and support encryption standards for secure communications.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash shell scripting, PowerShell, and configuration management tools such as Ansible to streamline operations.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to support network installation projects, system upgrades, virtualization environments (VMware vSphere/ESXi), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and disaster recovery strategies ensuring high availability.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Deep understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Ethernet, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, and open-source operating systems like Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS) and BSD variants.
- Hands-on experience with network security tools such as IDS/IPS systems; firewalls including Cisco ASA; SSO solutions; SSL/TLS encryption; SSH; VPN technologies; and network access control via GPO or Cisco ISE.
- Proficiency in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments; macOS; UNIX-based systems like Solaris or openSUSE.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi; Citrix; SAN/NFS storage solutions; high availability configurations; load balancing techniques; and system hardening practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), APIs integration, scripting for automation purposes using PowerShell or Bash.
- Experience with network management tools like SolarWinds or PRTG for monitoring network health; SolarWinds for configuration management; Splunk for log analysis; remote access software for troubleshooting across geographies.
- Strong grasp of ITIL frameworks for incident management; vulnerability assessment methodologies; SQL databases like Oracle or MS SQL Server; and open-source tools supporting vulnerability detection.
