Job description

Kforce is supporting a client that is looking for a contract to hire IT Technician in Fairmont, MN. This position requires 5 days onsite., The candidate will provide friendly customer service in the capacity of assisting in help desk-related tasks. They will also be working as part of a team providing value in a variety of IT related roles while managing and prioritizing issues and escalating when necessary.

Current List of Duties for IT Specialist:

  • Support Technology needs of staff in the Fairmont location
  • Support Printers and Print Server
  • Support End users with passwords reset
  • Support End users with network connectivity
  • Support users with application issues (Epicor, MS Office, browsing, audio/video)
  • Purchase equipment as needed
  • Assist end users remotely as needed
  • Assist remote end users by setting up new devices
  • Maintain current inventory as well as keep track of all old inventory and purchases of old inventory
  • Create new users as needed in Active Directory
  • Modify end users group access
  • Assist with project work when necessary
  • Handling of initial user calls, triage issues, and route appropriately
  • Be able to support end users of all technical levels with issues that come up, on-site or remotely
  • Answer support calls as they come in
  • Participate in an after-hours on call rotation

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Window 10,11, Server 2022, and Server 2016 operating systems

Preferred Skills:

  • IT related 2-year or 4-year degree
  • Work experience in an IT environment supporting desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers
  • Work experience in a service/help desk setting

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
