Software Engineer

The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team developing and maintaining mission-critical applications with a focus on geospatial technologies. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems, with a particular emphasis on geospatial applications., * Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions

• Write high-quality, well-tested code following best practices
• Integrate GIS components and spatial data into applications
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance
• Debug and optimize application performance
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Implement automated testing strategies
• Support deployment and maintenance of applications
• Participate in Agile development processes

Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong background in object-oriented programming
• Experience with GIS software development
• Track record of successful software project delivery

• Java, Python, C++, or similar programming languages

• Software architecture principles
• Version control systems (Git)
• Database design and SQL

• Demonstrated experience with:

• Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (CJMTK)
• ESRI ArcGIS suite of commercial software developer components
• ArcGIS Runtime
• ArcGIS Engine
• ArcGIS extensions including:
• 3-D Analyst
• Geostatistical Analyst
• Network Analyst
• Spatial Analyst
• Tracking Analyst
• ArcGIS Server
• Proficiency in:
• Software testing methodologies
• CI/CD practices
• Application security principles
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS
