Job description
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with strong Java Spring Boot expertise to support and maintain a critical internal client event management platform. This application is scheduled for decommissioning in 2028 and currently has a significant backlog of support tickets requiring analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent debugging skills, strong communication abilities, and experience supporting enterprise applications. This role involves direct interaction with end users and stakeholders to resolve application issues and improve system stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Investigate and remediate application vulnerabilities and security concerns.
- Support and maintain enterprise-level applications and systems.
- Work closely with end users to understand issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Manage and track incidents, defects, and enhancements through Jira.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor application performance and system health.
- Participate in limited new feature development and system enhancements.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise applications.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with Jira and application monitoring tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with React.js or JavaScript.
- Exposure to Cloud Foundry or private cloud environments.
- Experience utilizing AI tools in development or support environments.
