Job description

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer to anchor our Corporate IT Infrastructure team. This is a critical individual-contributor role for a subject matter expert who prefers designing and deploying enterprise systems over people management. You will serve as the technical lead for a large-scale cloud modernization initiative, driving the migration, architecture, and connectivity of our hybrid Azure and AWS environments. In this role, you will be the primary resource for our Azure infrastructure, focusing on high-complexity migration activities, connectivity between cloud providers, and the optimization of our on-premises footprint. If you are a builder who thrives on designing scalable, highly available systems and enjoys automating complex workflows, this is the perfect technical challenge., Azure Cloud Architecture & Migration Migration Strategy: Lead complex Azure infrastructure migration activities, transitioning sensitive infrastructure components into modernized management frameworks. Architecture Design: Design and implement highly available Azure environments; establish and maintain secure, performant connectivity between Azure and AWS cloud environments. Hybrid Cloud Optimization: Integrate on-premises data centers with cloud resources, ensuring seamless, scalable infrastructure across the entire enterprise.

Systems Engineering & Automation Automation Engineering: Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts to automate system deployments, patch management, and configuration tasks. Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade systems, including Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory, and Identity Management. Performance & Reliability: Proactively monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot high-level infrastructure issues, and manage disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.

Security, Compliance & Collaboration Cybersecurity Hardening: Enhance infrastructure security measures, ensuring all systems align with industry standards (e.g., SOX/GDPR) and corporate data-protection policies. Technical Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other systems engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and high-level engineering excellence. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with business teams and infrastructure colleagues to integrate new solutions, ensuring all projects align with organizational innovation goals.

Requirements

Experience Baseline: o10+ years of hands-on, enterprise-grade system administration experience. o5+ years of dedicated, recent experience in Azure infrastructure architecture, networking, and cloud-native management. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent professional experience is fully accepted). Technical Mastery: oAdvanced expertise in Active Directory and Windows Server ecosystems. oDemonstrated skill with PowerShell for infrastructure automation. oProven experience managing connectivity across hybrid/multi-cloud environments (Azure/AWS). Soft Skills: Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; strong analytical troubleshooting skills; excellent verbal and written communication.

Preferred Attributes Industry certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, M365, ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, or VMware). Experience with Office365 and large-scale SaaS integrations.
