Job description

  • Administrate, monitor and optimize our big data platform in AWS cloud
  • Manage and maintain services in Cloudera on-cloud PaaS & AWS-native like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, Iceberg Tables & DynamoDB
  • IaaC deployment in AWS cloud via Terraform & ArgoCD
  • Update, upgrade & incident management of all platform components
  • Advise our data platform developers on the selection of data platform services for business use cases
  • 3rd level support through monitoring, error analysis and troubleshooting to ensure a highly available system (incl. on-call duty 7 × 24 h)
  • Support workload optimization (e.g. Flink job memory management, Impala/Trino query optimization)
  • Evaluation and implementation of cloud native services according to our system architecture

Requirements

  • Technical education (Computer Science HTL, Computer Science Degree, Data Science etc.)
  • Technical education (computer science studies, etc.)
  • At least 3-5 years experience in Cloudera environments. Migration to AWS
  • Experience in Kubernetes and in system administration of Linux systems
  • Expertise in building and operating Big Data environments based on Cloudera clusters
