Job description

  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical direction and mentorship to multiple development teams, guiding them in the adoption of best practices, architectural patterns, and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Problem Solving and Innovation: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering teams.
  • Architectural Design: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient system architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Code Quality and Standards: Champion code quality and maintainability, driving the adoption of coding standards, automated testing, and code review practices.
  • Mentorship and Talent Development: Mentor and coach engineers, fostering their professional growth and empowering them to take ownership of their work.
  • Technical Decision-Making: Make informed technical decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks, implementing optimizations to improve system efficiency and responsiveness.

Requirements

  • Deep Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technologies relevant to the organization's needs.
  • System Architecture: Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure as code.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, leveraging analytical skills and domain knowledge.
  • Design Patterns and Best Practices: Solid grasp of design patterns, software development methodologies, and best practices.
  • Performance Optimization: Experience in profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing application performance.
  • Security: Understanding of security principles and best practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding techniques.

Preferred Skills

  • Educational Background: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Significant experience in software development and architecture.
  • Passion for Technology: Strong passion for technology (Java/Kotlin, Spring Ecosystem, AWS, Gitlab, Microservices, Kafka, Vue.js) and a drive to stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
