Job description

We are supporting a global organisation undergoing a significant transformation of its IT and quality landscape into an integrated, collaborative operating model. This role plays a critical part in ensuring SAP solutions are reliable, compliant, and aligned with the highest quality standards in a regulated environment. As a SAP Quality Manager, you will operate at the intersection of development, architecture, and quality governance. You will ensure that SAP systems are designed, built, and delivered in a way that meets both technical excellence and strict compliance requirements. Responsibilities

Development Quality Assurance

  • Review and approve development, customisation, and solution architecture deliverables
  • Assess SAP developments across ABAP, CDS Views, RAP, Fiori/UI5, OData, BTP extensions, APIs, and integrations
  • Define and enforce development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices
  • Identify technical risks and improvement opportunities to ensure scalable solutions

Release & Change Governance

  • Act as an independent quality gate for transports, changes, and releases
  • Review and approve release documentation in SAP ALM / Cloud ALM
  • Support Go/No-Go decisions based on risk, quality, and compliance factors
  • Ensure adherence to global change and release management processes

Quality & Compliance Ownership

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 13485, MDR, FDA) and internal frameworks
  • Drive risk-based validation approaches aligned with CSV and CSA principles
  • Review and approve validation documentation and release evidence
  • Promote efficient and compliant documentation practices

Continuous Improvement & Advisory

  • Identify gaps in development, release, and validation processes
  • Coach teams on modern SAP development and compliant delivery approaches
  • Contribute to SOPs, work instructions, and standards
  • Drive improvements across the SAP delivery lifecycle

Requirements

  • Strong SAP experience (ERP / S/4HANA), including custom development and integrations
  • Solid technical background in ABAP, SQL, Java, and object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (RFC, IDoc, XML, EDI)
  • Experience across full SAP project lifecycle (design, build, test, release, operate)
  • Understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery models within structured (SOP-driven) environments
  • Experience in regulated environments or quality/compliance frameworks is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess and mitigate risks
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills (IT, Quality, Business)
  • Self-driven, structured, and able to work in global environments
  • Fluent English
