Job description

We are focused on changing the renewable energy industry and as a Network/Connections Engineer, you will have an opportunity to be part of this mission.

We are looking for a candidate who wants to do work that has an impact, not just in the industry but also in the environment. Your ability to ask questions, solve problems, and be an integral part of an open collaborative team will be a catalyst for your success.

You will help the Connections teams in establishing new network connections to third-party networks, develop and implement improvements and assist the wider team in maintaining Clir's AWS network infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Establish, maintain and troubleshoot connections to client networks and data sources
  • Develop and implement systems improvements
  • Communicate with clients and their IT teams
  • Improve and update connection documentation

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Good understanding of TCP/UDP
  • Knowledge of IPsec and OpenVPN
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases
  • Basic knowledge of FTP and SFTP
  • Attention to detail
  • Capability to think logically when solving complex challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing at all levels, including customers

Bonus

  • Experience with any of the following: AWS, Terraform, Docker, SQL, VPN servers, OPC DA, OPC UA, SCADA.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Experience working with Netgate pfSense.
