Job description
- Build and configure a Databricks environment from scratch.
- Migrate data from the legacy data warehouse to Databricks.
- Develop and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines using PySpark and SQL.
- Design scalable data models using Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Integrate data with Segment CDP and marketing platforms to support campaign activation and personalization.
- Create curated datasets for reporting, analytics, and business insights.
- Implement data governance using Unity Catalog.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Campaign Management, and Technology teams.
Requirements
We are seeking a hands-on Databricks Engineer to help build a new cloud data platform from the ground up. This role will lead the migration from a legacy marketing data warehouse to Databricks, creating scalable data pipelines and enabling marketing teams with reliable, analytics-ready data., * Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Advanced Python (PySpark) and SQL skills.
- Experience building Databricks environments and leading data migration projects.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience supporting marketing data, customer data platforms (CDPs), or analytics is highly preferred., * Experience with Segment CDP.
- Knowledge of MLflow, streaming data, and AI/ML workflows.
- Databricks Data Engineer or Data Analyst certification.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
