Job description

The Software Tool Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimum automated solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, Tools Engineers shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as other support teams are identified as part of a solution to identify, engineer and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools., * Participate int the research, analysis and recommendation of software productivity tools to support Key Management development efforts.

  • Develop and maintain software productivity tools installations, integrations, development and configuration plans.
  • Develop, tailor and maintain associated technical documentation for software productivity tools.
  • Perform regular backup of software productivity tools databases, datasets and files.
  • Monitor, track, and manage software productivity tools, licenses, and associated media.
  • Install, integrate, develop, customize and configure software productivity tools (e.g. IBM/Rational Tools, HP Service Manager) in support of Key Management efforts.
  • Provide consulting, training and hands-on experience to project personnel to include Key Management personnel in the use of software tools.
  • Integrate software productivity tools to implement existing and proposed project processes in use.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Poly - with CI poly within last 7 years
  • Active IAT Level I certification
  • BS + 10 years experience
  • Expertise in installing/operating/administering and upgrading ClearCase and ClearQuest Tools
  • Strong knowledge of developing/implementing requirements repositories
  • Strong knowledge of using JIRA and other project management/tracking tools
  • General scripting knowledge (perl, bash, sh, csh, windows batch, python)
  • Must have excellent writing skills
