Job description
You will report directly to our Blending and Movement Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule., * Develop and implement advanced application engineering solutions to meet customer needs and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and customers to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize application performance and customer satisfaction.
- Lead technical discussions and presentations with customers and stakeholders to communicate solutions and project status.
Requirements
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in application engineering or a similar advanced engineering role.
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing complex engineering applications with a focus on process control and performance optimization for oil refineries.
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software tools and simulation platforms relevant to application development.
- Experience with Honeywell's DCS (Experion and/or Total Plan System)
- Programming experience.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner without compromising quality.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in contributing to internal and external technical documents.
- Proactive approach to understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations, ensuring a consistently positive experience with every interaction
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to application engineering.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Process Control or a related technical field.
- Experience in Refinery Operations, Process Control and/or Business Applications.
- Blending or Off-Site tank farm process experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management principles and resource allocation.
- Programming skills (VB, C++, C#, JavaScript, html, etc.)
- SQL Database programming and maintenance skills
